Mei Matsumoto was one of the examinees who tried to enroll into Setouchi Keijo Training School.

Matsumoto is a rather tall young girl, and she's got long hair tied up into a ponytail.

Personality

She tends to underestimate people by their appearance and considers herself to have more experience just because she has participated the Keijo exams 3 times. She feels jealous for both Nozomi Kaminashi and Sayaka Miyata, wanting to prove her talent.

Background

Matsumoto has participated in the Keijo exams 3 times, despite always having failed, however she is strong willed and tried to participate again for her last chance.

Plot

First Exam Arc

She enrolled into Setouchi Keijo Training School and took the exams. On the first test of the first exam, she obtained 58cm for the jump test. She felt jealous about Nozomi and Sayaka being interviewed. When Nozomi approached her, Matsumoto revealed that she had participated in the Keijo exams 3 times but it always ended in failure and so it would be her last chance now. Nozomi wished her good luck. She felt confidence on the last test of the first exam, the bottom 8. Despite being good in the middle of the test, she eventually was eliminated and unable to proceed to the second exam. Nozomi thanked her for giving such a great instance and praised her movements, while she eventually realized that she can't compete with Nozomi.
