Hitomi Hokuto (北斗 瞳, Hokuto Hitomi） is a former A-Rank Keijo player and was the mentor of Suzuho Kato. She is currently working as an instructor at Setouchi Keijo Training School. While Miku Kobayakawa specializes in giving classroom lessons, she specializes in giving psychical training.
Appearance
Hokuto has long blue hair with dark blue eyes. She wears a simply white shirt.
Personality
Hokuto is normally calm and kind. She is also rather attentive to her students.
Background
At some point, she became soeur with Suzuho Kato.
Plot
Second Exam Arc
Hokuto supervised throughout the exam along with the other teachers.
Sweet Room Arc
On the first day of school, she was checking the roll call for the students.[3]
Abilities
Being a retired player, Hokuto is easily able to outmatch student-level fighters.
Anime & Manga Differences
Episode 2
- In the anime Hokuto states that each year one of five students will be dropped out from Setouchi Keijo Training School before graduation. In the manga, there is no such statement.
- Hokuto punishes Room 309 for obtaining the lowest score on the first day of the "Hip Toss" training. In the manga, there is no punishment.
- In the manga, Hokuto promises to bring the room with the highest score to the best gelato shop in Awaji, instead of buying them as seen in the anime.
Episode 3
- In the manga, right after the trial match against Nagisa Ujibe, Hokuto announces that they'll divided into one of three fighting style in Keijo. While Room 309 went to the cafeteria. In the anime, they went to bath instead.
- Right after announcing the fighting style of all students, and Nozomi's being the last to hear what her fighting style will be, Hokuto states that Nozomi needs to talk with Ujibe regarding this matter. In the manga, Hokuto states "no comment" about Nozomi's fighting style, Ujibe then approaches her while saying that they need to talk.
Episode 8
- When she forces Nozomi Kaminashi to bow down, Nozomi notices that Hokuto's hands are trembling. However, in the anime, she doesn't mention anything about that.
