Ayako Sakashiro (坂城 綾子, Sakashiro Ayako) is a former Keijo player. She is currently working as an instructor at Suruga Keijo Training School. In addition, she is also Suruga's headmaster, and Maya's adoptive mother.
Appearance[]
Ayako is a middle-aged woman. She has chin-length, light brown hair.
Personality[]
When she is interviewed, she is shown to be ambitious, arrogant and haughty. She underestimates her opponent, Setouchi, as she claims that the difference between their power levels are clear. Moreover, she also mocks Setouchi's teachers, stating that weak players can only give birth to more weak players.
Despite this, during her youth, she is seen to be a generous and humble person for donating some stuff to an orphanage, claiming that she just wants to see kids smiling.
Background[]
Ayako was a well-known Keijo player. Though it's unclear, she had a rivalry with Nagisa Ujibe. At some point, she visited an orphanage and donated some stuff to there. But soon, a girl named Maya broke the bed that was just she donated. While the staff apologized to her, Ayako stated it was no big deal at all. She then asked Maya to hit the bed by using her butt as strong as possible. Maya managed to break the bed effortlessly. Impressed by Maya's augmented strength, she then adopted Maya.[1] Sometime later, Ayako bought a ribbon for Maya, which Maya started to wear ever since.
